Skin skis are rapidly growing in popularity. With our variable New England weather, skis with skins are extremely effective in difficult-to-wax snow conditions. A skin ski has better grip then a typical waxless ski in glazed, hard, or icy snow conditions. The Sport Pro Skintec SDS construction requires less effort to get traction with your classic kick, which means it is just easy to ski. It's not a racing skin ski, but an active skier will enjoy this ski. This 200cm ski is best suited for an experienced skier weighing 154-200 pounds. Keep in mind that it is better to be on the lighter side of a skin ski's recommended weight range. Give us a call if you want some help properly sizing these skis.
Many of our customers want to feel the glide of a waxable ski but are not looking for the high-test performance, or the price, of a race ski. This ski is a little more forgiving with a wider side cut for stability, a softer flex needing less force to get kick, and a slightly shorter length for maneuverability. BINDINGS NOT INCLUDED.
Yes, the skins really work! And, they are quiet, too. The Fischer Twin Skin Superlite really excels in icy, hard packed, or glazed tracks. And, with our variable New England snow conditions, this is a great ski to have in your quiver. We are also surprised at how easy the EF (Efficient Forward) camber is to ski with easy kick and easy glide. BINDINGS NOT INCLUDED.

A ski with World Cup experience. The RCS Classic is tried and tested and an excellent choice for sporty, ambitious skiers. The Plus model is used in conditions above -5°C. We are really excited about the RC Classic for race and high performance skiing. It shares the features of the hi-end S-LAB Classic line up but provides a smoother, easier, more forgiving kick when engaging the camber. This is due to the D-Carbon Core construction - which also contributes to the ski's light weight and responsiveness. With the G5 World Cup base and grind it's ready for all conditions.
We really like how the RC Skin skis. It's unlikely that a skin ski is going to ski the same as a waxable ski, but we were impressed with the RC Skin. Ultimately, when the snow conditions are at their extremes (icy, glazed, wet, etc.) the RC Skin is a great alternative without giving up a lot of performance. The glued in (and replaceable) Skingrip inserts provide precise secure grip in variable snow conditions. The Salomon RC model shares many of the features of the hi-end S-LAB Classic line up but provides an easier, more forgiving kick when engaging the camber. This is due to the D-Carbon Core construction - which also contributes to the ski's light weight and responsiveness. With the G5 World Cup base and grind it's ready for all conditions. If you'd like to try a pair we have RC Skin Ski demos available. Just give us a call and reserve a pair - 802-387-5718 - or email email@example.com.
The RCS Classic Plus IFP ski is a favorite among ambitious Nordic skiers who are looking for an active, light weight, high performance classic ski with World Cup experience. The RCS Classic Plus goes beyond a training ski with amazing gliding properties and right-under-foot stability. This ski is perfect for our changing snow conditions and best suited for temperatures of -10°C and warmer. The new IFP plate bonded to the ski accepts the Fischer Turnamic binding. RCS Classic Plus features include: 812 ski construction with long dynamic wax pocket, Air Core Carbon ski core with over 80% air content for extremely light weight, DTG means deeper and coarser Plus structure, ideal for the warm and moist conditions of the Northeast, and prewaxed infrared preparation with fluoride-content hot wax.
