Transition Scout Alloy Complete GX
$3,999.00
This bike is currently in our shop as a demo. We invite you to take a test ride. To purchase any new Transition mountain bikes give us a call, stop in, or just pop one in your shopping cart and we'll call you when the bike built and ready to roll. The Scout is your aluminum 27.5 "tweener" - a trail ripper for long days in the saddle or your ripping at the park machine. It's the bike that feels capable and comfortable doing it all. Burly enough for when things get hairy and efficient enough the those extended rides. Here's what Transition has to say about their Scout: If you're looking for the best parts you can get for a great price, our Scout Alloy GX will tick every box. We know suspension performance is king so we give you the same Fox fork and rear shock we spec on our top of the line XO1 builds. The drivetrain is GX Eagle with a massive gear range that is the new standard for performance and value. We finish the build with rock-solid Stan's Flow S1 Team complete wheelset and the best Maxxis Minion 3C tires you can buy. The Scout Alloy GX is a true riders bike that wants top performing parts that can appreciate a tried and true alloy frameset that can charge all day. Speed Balanced Geometry - SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with a all new reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed maneuvering as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider GIDDYUP 2.0HH SUSPENSION Take our successful GiddyUp suspension system, add one part increased pedaling efficiency, two parts wider sag range, and three parts increased small bump sensitivity, and you get GiddyUp 2.0HH. Incredible pedaling performance balanced with a superb neutral, comfortable and fun feel that we're known for. We specifically tuned the suspension with a moderate amount of chain growth which is highest at the sag point and decreasing deeper into the travel. Because of this finely tuned wheel path, there is a notable increase in traction when climbing, without the rider noticing the chain growth fighting the suspension movement. GiddyUp 2.0HH is extremely easy to setup and it provides excellent support throughout the entire stroke of the shock so you can use all your travel without worrying about bottom out. Designed to be active while climbing, rear shock climbing platforms are not necessary. The suspension remains free to smooth out the trail, improve traction and control without sacrificing efficiency. With GiddyUp 2.0HH you can focus on the trail, no remotes, levers or knobs. Just grab your bike and GiddyUp.

It's a bike that encourages its rider to goof off, whether that's by seeing how many mid-trail manuals you can pull, or trying to find out just how hard you can smash into a bermed corner. Sure, you can't go rocketing full blast into a minefield of rocks and expect to come out the other side as easily as you would on an enduro race machine, but that's not what this bike is all about. Instead, it's about finding the bonus lines, the hidden lips and landings that make a familiar trail even more entertaining. " - Mike Kazimer/Pinbike.com "Transition trail bikes have become known for their aggressive, descending-oriented handling and the Smuggler rings true in that regard. Simply get the Smuggler up to speed and it charges through rough terrain with the stability and ease of a bike with considerably more travel." - THE BIKE BIBLE REVIEW

Surly Big Fat Dummy
$3,025.00
The Big Fat Dummy is a long tail cargo bike that took a few too many doses of growth hormones. At first glance, you might say that Surly just put bigger tires on a Big Dummy. But if you said that, you'd actually be very wrong so just… don't. Think of Big Fat Dummy as more of a second or third cousin to Big Dummy rather than a brother. They share some of the same DNA and look sort of similar, but they're two very different bikes and really only interact when they both reach for the potato salad spoon at that family reunion that no one really wants to be at anyway. Now that that's out of the way, let's get down to the nitty gritty of what makes this hulking beast of a bike tick. Surly's goal with designing a cargo bike around fat tires was to create the most stable, stiff, and traction-laden ride possible while hauling a ton of stuff. Big Fat Dummy has a longer toptube and slacker headtube than its more svelt cousin giving it a nice, predictable, and stable ride. They also used thinner, lighter tubing to construct its cargo area so while it's an overall burlier bike, there's not much difference in weight. Big Fat Dummy accepts either 10mm or 12mm axles in the rear with a spacing of 190/197mm. That big ol' spacing equates to one thing: tire clearance for days. Big Fat Dummy maxes out at a massive 26 x 5.25" tire.* While that large of a tire provides the most traction and stability a bike can possibly offer, it's also a lot of rubber to push and might not be for everybody. Luckily, Big Fat Dummy is also a blast to ride with 3" tires too. It uses the same 100mm suspension-corrected fork as the Wednesday, meaning if you want to add a little squishy squishy to your ride, you can throw a Bluto on and let ‘er rip. If you intend to carry a passenger on your Big Fat Dummy, Surly requires use of their Dummy Rail Collars. These provide a secondary retention system for the rack, as well as stiffen the rack system. In addition, a stoker handlebar set up, found on tandem bicycles, is recommended as well. Make sure to check with seat post manufacturer for stoker handlebar compatibility. All Big Fat Dummy framesets and bikes ship with a Dummy deck, rails, bags, and the aforementioned Dummy Rail Collars so you can immediately start hauling cargo — human or otherwise. Big Fat Dummy is ready and willing to carry all sorts of crap — literally. It's already in use on an organic farm in Ecuador so it's likely that it's hauled some form of manure by now. *Using a 26 x 5.25" tire will cause some drivetrain limitations.
