The Salomon Escape 5 TR is a great cross country ski boot for the newer or less frequent skier to hit the groomed trails in. The Escape 5 is only compatible with an SNS Binding System to give you added control and support as you discover the wintertime. Salomon has used a Sanitized Treatment to prevent odor or bacteria from destroying your boots while you are not wearing them. The wide 105mm last is designed to keep your feet warm and comfortable as you glide down the trail.
For skiers wanting a warm and comfortable boot with enough grip when touring. The Escape Plus combines an adjustable cuff closure, anatomical fit, improved ankle support and excellent insulation to keep your feet warm and comfortable all day long.
When your feet are warm, comfortable and supported, you just don't want to stop skiing. That's why folks love this boot. With the ergonomic touring cuff you get more ankle support. The internal thermo formed heel counter holds your heel snugly and a wider forefoot with Thinsulate keeps your feet happy. It's this signature wedge shaped last that makes Salomon boots such a great fit. The Prolink sole is NNN compatible.
The R/Prolink is a remake of a popular Salomon boot that fit-the-bill for many of our recreational skiing customers - the boot for someone who wants to do everything. Because of the tall ankle support and the soft toe flex, you can classic ski in track or take it out-of-track for light exploration. Because of the stiff sole behind the toe, you can also skate ski. It is essentially a recreational combi boot. Here's what Salomon says about their boot: "For skiers who know what performance skiing feels like, the R/PROLINK is a training partner that delivers an ideal blend of energy transmission for skating with forefoot flexibility for classic skiing. With a slightly more generous fit, the R/PROLINK makes those daybreak training sessions more rewarding. Compatible with Prolink®, NNN® and Turnamic® bindings."
