Skiing Services We Offer
Some of us were cross-country skiers before we were cyclists. You can benefit from our strong background in the wintertime sports. We know what will work for you, whether it's a complete new skate-skiing set-up, a fun-to-use touring package, or a scraping and pine tar job on your old wood skis.
Binding mounting.We are experts at cross-country ski binding installation, whether 3-pin bindings from the old days, the latest telemark bindings, or current Nordic classic and skate bindings. Most jobs are done while you wait. Skis and bindings from elsewhere are welcome, too.
Base prep and waxing. Proper base preparation is essential before using new skis. Old skis can be rejuvenated with our expert base preparation. We love working on skis, whether they are Nordic race, touring or telemark. Waxing your skis for summer storage is important for keeping your skis fast for next season. Let us take the hassle out of base preparation. If you like, try our wax clinics, held during the early part of the season.
Flex testing. To properly fit you to the correct size classic or skate ski, we use the Fischer flex board. Using our knowledge of each ski brand and your individual technique and skill level, we will help select skis that match your weight, technique, and experience.
Edge tuning. We have all the edge tuning equipment needed to put a beveled, sharpened edge on your back-country and telemark skis or your snowboard.
Demos. We offer demos in both race classic and skate skis and boots, used as part of instruction clinics or to rent for the day.
Rentals of Nordic skis and snowshoes. We rent Fischer waxless touring skis and Salomon boots. We rent Tubbs snowshoes. By the afternoon, day, weekend or week. Ask us where to ski or snowshoe - we'll help you find the perfect spot.
