West Hill Shop: The Renovation of 2005

We've added on to the West Hill Shop! We have torn down part of our old warehouse and have added what has become the main store. Here's a chronological history, beginning August 22, 2005, when we started tearing down the old warehouse, and ending with a shot of the inside on Nov. 1, 2005. (That's a classic Schwinn Jaguar mountain bike built by Jim Langley in 1981 you see below.) Come by and see our new building for yourself!

THE PUTNEY TRADITION

The founders of the Putney West Hill Shop were Bob & Becky Anderson, Bob & Barbara George, Bob & Susan Gray, Neil & Virginia Quinn.

Neil worked at R L Dothard Associates, in Guilford, a book and magazine design firm. RLDA hired Bob Anderson (ca. 1969-70), who had been a designer at Houghton Mifflin in Boston.
