With the smooth-riding, cargo-hauling characteristics of the Salsa Marrakesh, you might find yourself taking to life on the road for good. The Marrakesh is built for comfort over long distances with a sturdy chromoly frame and fork that soak-up fatiguing road vibration and provide numerous cargo-carrying options to suit any load. Reliability is key on any major tour, and Shimano's Deore 3x9-speed drivetrain paired to Microshift bar-end shifters provides solid shifting performance with easy maintenance and repairability. WTB ST i19 rims laced to Shimano Deore 36-hole hubs increase dependability and offer a robust platform for shouldering weight over paved and gravel roads alike, and Avid's reputable BB7R mechanical disc brakes and 160mm rotors provide confident control no matter what the weather brings. Clearance for up to 2.0-inch tires give the Marrakesh the ability to traverse rough singletrack when your adventure leaves the tarmac, and mounts for fender, cages, and racks ensure you'll never lack options for carrying everything you need.

Since I got this bike over a month ago, my true road bike has sat idle. It's that comfortable and good. It loves to be loaded down and I think it handles a bit better loaded, but still a very stable steed with nothing on it. I've got to tell you, worth every penny, and I LOVE THIS BIKE!
