This boot is sweet in rolling back country terrain. "Light, comfortable, and warm" is what our customers like about it, compared to a plastic boot. It's a sturdy boot with very secure ankle and heel plus a broad toe box. This model of Alaska boot requires a 75mm BC 3-pin binding (with or without a cable). The Salomon RC10 eSkin ski now has a new PSP adjustable binding mounting plate. This allows for moving the balance point of your boot position depending on what the snow conditions require. Our demos are mounted with the Salomon Prolink Shift Pro Classic binding (NNN compatible). It's unlikely that a skin ski is going to ski the same as a good waxable ski, but we were impressed with the RC10 eSkin. Ultimately, when the snow conditions are at their extremes (icy, glazed, wet, etc.) the RC10 eSkin is a great alternative to kick waxing without giving up a lot of performance. The glued in (and replaceable) Skingrip inserts provide precise secure grip in variable snow conditions. The Salomon RC10 eSkin model shares many of the features of the hi-end S-LAB Classic line up but provides an easier, more forgiving kick when engaging the camber. The new Power Arc Pro expands on the success of Specialized's original Power saddle. It features the same channel and length as the original and S-Works Arc, but where it differs is in its titanium rails versus the carbon fiber found on the S-Works. But this means that it still features a stiff, FACT carbon fiber shell and lightweight EVA padding. The shape of the saddle is also designed to provide ample sit bone support, and this has been coupled with a shorter-than-usual nose section to keep pressure off of soft tissue while riding in aggressive positions.
