Meet Our Crew

The Caldwells

Over the last 16 years, Amy and Zach, and their son Gunnar, of Caldwell Sport have passionately focused on serving the world of elite Nordic ski racing and training with the highest level of expertise and integrity. Although Nordic skiing is their "life" during the winter season, summertime is when they play with abandon...and their toy of choice: mountain bikes! This is what makes the Caldwells and the West Hill Shop natural partners in the very best way. Better yet, they have spent decades as West Hill regulars and live just a short bike ride up the road. Stop in and wish them luck as they carry on the legacy as the next WHS generation.

If you wish to contact them, you can email Amy or Zach.

Aiden Jasmin

Aiden wears many hats around the shop. Shift Manager, "Princess", and Jazzie are just a few of his official titles. Mostly, he serves as one of the in-house experts on bikes with skinny tires and rim brakes. His skills within the shop span from sales to wrenching so it's not uncommon to see him doing a variety of things if you stop by, although he'll probably be eating a sandwich while he does it.

He's not limited to just fixing and selling bikes, he even rides them too. He's been described as "the fastest rider in Keene" and a "solid B-Class rider"; accolades he proudly acknowledges. However, he moved out of Keene so he's just a solid B-Class rider now. You can reach out to him at aiden@westhillshop.com for any questions on sales, service or custom builds and he'll point you in the right direction!

Pip Bannister

Born as, but not known as, Phillip. Pip is our part time master mechanic and xc ski technician. He is also our in-house cross-road-mountain bike racer, architect, fiddle player, Putney Planning Commission member, Putney's Citizen of the Year for 2007, and the Shop's humble hard man. He now holds the title of the 2008, 2013 and 2014 National Cyclocross Champion for age 60+ category.

If you are ever looking for Pip, you'll find him at the shop's service counter eating his lunch.

Jordan Hughes

Jordan is a U.S. Air Force veteran with mechanical skills from ten years of aircraft hydraulic systems maintenance. He comes to Putney from Gainsville, Florida with his wife (who grew up in Putney) and child (now with two kiddos). Yes, he is adjusting to the cold with lots of layers. Jordan worked as a bike service tech in the Florida bikes shops while earning his masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. His hobbies are studying for his licensing board exams, teaching Wing Chun Kung Fu, and trail riding.

Todd Eastman

Todd still loves skiing as much as he did as a 5-year old jumping on what ever snow could be found in Baltimore, MD. Climbing and skiing have brought him to the Himalaya, the Andes, and most North American mountain ranges. As a mountain guide, outdoor education instructor, ski instructor and coach, Todd enjoys working with people of all skill levels and ambitions. He recently retired as the Race Services Director for Madshus USA. Other professional work includes environmental consulting, recreational planning and serving on the Lands and Trails Committee for the Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association.

Todd Miller

Todd does our bike fitting and helps with photography, product testing and creative stuff. He's been riding and skiing the local trails on West Hill gear since his high school years in the early 1980's. A true Salsa Cycles fanboy, his bike collection is ready for any conditions on any day, stocked with a Warbird, Spearfish, Horsethief, Blackthorn and Mukluk. Todd is a college professor and physical therapist who has helped fit bikes to their people for over 30 years.

Contact Todd with your bike fit questions and to schedule a fit session.
